Powerbank supplied

Running on a power bank, the Raspberry Pi operates as a server, preventing disruptions from electricity outages and keeping the EMR system running for many hours in locations with limited power supply.

The EMR4All project aims at revolutionizing medical data access in areas where internet connectivity and electricity are scarce. Powered by OpenMRS running on a Raspberry Pi and supported by a power bank, this combination enables a health facility located in a remote area to operate offline with a local network, directly connecting to the EMR without the need for internet.

What is the EMR4All project?

COST EFFECTIVENESS

Up to 80% reduction in infrastructure costs compared to traditional server developments

EASE OF USE

Small form factor allow for easy deployment in remote health  facilities, without being tethered to a power source

PORTABLE/ FLEXIBLE

Portable to deliver life-saving care anywhere, overcoming distance and infrastructure barriers.

REMOTE DATA SHARING

Data Sycnhonisation  with health systems, for  instant updates on patient cases, resources, and treatments.

Limited access to medical facilities

Portable mini-server kit with power bank and temperature controls; operates independently, with solar power options for low-resource areas.

9.webp
Telemedicine Capabilities

Telemedicine feature enables real-time remote consultations, allowing cross-border collaboration and better specialist support.

3.webp
 Disease Surveillance and Control

Real-time data sync module allows for instant updates of patient records across sites, improving epidemic response and disease control.

6.webp
Outbreak Management

Centralised remote data provides continuous access to up-to-date patient information, ensuring that healthcare providers always have accurate data, no matter where they are.

4.webp
Fragmented and Outdated Patient Records

Centralized record system ensures continuous access to uo-to-date patient information, even in remote locations without internet access.
